Compact bathroom

The bathroom is hugely important to the comfort of your home: imagine going a week without a bathroom and you’ll soon see what I mean! It is therefore worth planning, designing and equipping a bathroom with the best possible products. After all, your bathroom will be a high traffic and intensively used space for years to come!

Matching furniture?

If your bathroom is particularly small and tends to be cramped, then you can choose smaller fixtures and furniture than usual for your bathroom remodel. These half-size items take up much less space but still allow for a complete and comfortable bathroom experience. You just won’t be able to lie lengthwise in the tub!

Rather than simply transplanting your ideal bathroom from your favorite magazine or website, make sure you fit the bathroom elements into the available space of your existing, empty bathroom while considering awkward nooks and crannies. Definitely let outside sources sway you, but take the time to tweak and revise the layout until it makes the most of the space available to give your new bathroom a professional-looking finish and shine.

The wet room is a fairly new bathroom design concept and works best in very small bathrooms. Not only will you maximize every inch of available space by removing internal divisions, but you’ll be back on trend in bathroom decor fashion! Be prepared to invest in excellent waterproofing and waterproof storage units as the entire room will steam during use which can allow moisture to settle on ill-prepared surfaces.

Go high!

Opt for a tall and narrow decor and furniture scheme to minimize clutter and give you the maximum amount of storage while taking up a relatively small footprint. Another idea is perhaps forgoing a vanity in favor of a standalone pedestal basin. This makes your bathroom appear better proportioned as the base appears tall and slim compared to the blocky, squat profile of a vanity unit.
